Chapped Lips?

Having a problem with chapped lips? Try this. To remove any unwanted dry skin off of your lips, you can exfoliate them with your toothbrush when you brush your teeth. In a pinch, add a dab of Vaseline to protect them. Use a moisturizing lipstick in the daytime hours and apply lip balm before you go to bed. Also, avoid licking your lips. This is very bad for the lips.

Rejuvenate your skin

Give your skin the glow with the avocado and banana scrub. Dry the pit of the avocado for 3-5 days before grinding it, till it's very fine. Mix this powder with half a banana and a tablespoon of olive oil, to make a thick paste. Use the paste gently all over skin. Do not use too much pressure, as the pit will naturally exfoliate! Rinse off in a warm shower.

Looking Good with correct Nutrition

Good nutrition is vital to keep your skin looking good. The skin's elasticity depends on collagen, which makes it flexible. Vitamin C is needed to make collagen, and it also neutralizes free radicals that damage the skin and cause wrinkles. Vitamin A is important to keep skin smooth and supple, while vitamin E protects skin cells from damage and encourages skin to heal. Zinc is needed to regenerate skin cells and essential fatty acids keep the skin from drying out.

Healthy Skin

Egg masks suit all skin types. An egg white whipped and patted on the skin tightens and tones. A whole egg beaten softens the skin. For combination skin use two masks. Apply two table-spoons of beaten egg white and half a teaspoon of lemon juice to the oily patches. Then mix one teaspoon gelatin with one tablespoon of water to make a paste. Apply this to the dry areas. Leave on for 30 minutes, before rinsing with warm water followed by a dash of cold.

Dark Circles or Bags Under Eyes
Place slightly warm tea bags over your eyes, leave on for 10-15 minutes.

Aztec Mystery Eye Treatment
Nobody really knows WHY this is so effective on under-eye puffiness, but it IS. The procedure is very simple: peel an avocado, remove the pit, and slice a half into quarter-inch crescents. Lie down, secure a few slices under each eye, and rest for about 20 minutes. The result is corrective magic!

Lighten Circles under Eyes
To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off residue and apply an eye cream.

Fresh Face

All you need are eight to nine whole strawberries and three tablespoons of honey to get the glow. Mash the strawberries into a pulp and add honey. Mix the two well. Don't blend it or it will get runny. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and apply the mixture directly to the skin and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off.

EXFOLIATE to let your skin breathe... natural way

Here's a natural way to exfoliate. Wet your face and apply a couple of tablespoons of sea salt, then gently massage with a wet washcloth or fingers. Sea salt removes dry, flaky and dead skin. Focus on the T-zone and cheeks, but avoid the eye area. After one or two minutes, rinse with cold water to tighten the pores. It is important to do this regularly, or face creams will not penetrate. You can do this maximum once per week.

Getting back to puffy eyes...
To reduce puffy eyes, dip two metal spoons into a glass of iced water. Lay a small piece of thin cotton material over each eye, then place a spoon over this and leave for several minutes.
To relax tired, aching eyes, place either a piece of cucumber over each, or a cold, wet teabag, for 10 minutes or so.
For deep-set eyes, use lots of mascara and, to make the eyes look larger, apply blue eye liner along the inside lower lid.
